Shannon Lynn McFeaters, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Shannon McFeaters is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine who treats conditions of the foot and ankle, is specialized and board certified in foot surgery. She has offices in Bellevue and Natrona Heights and sees patients from all around the Pittsburgh area.

Dr. McFeaters is a native of the South Hills of Pittsburgh, where she grew up and still has family. She graduated from St. Francis Academy where she received a strong basis for her further education. She earned her Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree from Allegheny College where she majored in Biology with a minor in Spanish. Dr. McFeaters graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine where she achieved Dean’s List recognition every year. She decided to further her education at a surgical residency and completed her two-year surgical training at the Kennedy Memorial Hospital System in New Jersey. This program at Kennedy is affiliated with one of the country’s largest Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine teaching schools. After completing her surgical training, Dr. McFeaters remained in practice in New Jersey for some time where she continued to remain active in her residency program as an instructor and interview committee member.

Dr. McFeaters is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association, and the American Association for Women Podiatrists. She is a member of the medical staff at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital, UPMC Passavant, UPMC St. Margaret, and Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

Evident in her practice is Dr. McFeaters’ strong academic background. She enjoys educating her patients about their foot problems and conservative as well as surgical treatment options. Dr. McFeaters believes that the better educated a patient is about their health the better their overall outcome and lifestyle will be.

Patients of all ages and new patients are welcome at Dr. McFeaters’ office. She enjoys treating all types of foot problems including: heel pain, bunions, hammertoes, ingrown toenails, fungal toenails, warts, diabetic foot care, sports injuries, and children’s gait abnormalities. The on-site X-ray machine facilitates the quick treatment of acute fractures, dislocations, and injuries. Dr. McFeaters keeps evening and earlier morning appointments to help accommodate patients’ schedules.
